Tritan Nurser Bottle; $18 for 2
Natural and wholistic medicine guru Andrew Weil has a sleek new line of baby bottles out that look so good they will make you want to give up breastfeeding ... KIDDING! Just kidding. Kidding, kidding, kidding.
But here they are at left ... see what I mean by sleek? These look like they were designed by a famous architect, or like they should be on display in a contemporary art gallery, no?
The plastic ones are BPA free, of course, and you can also get them in glass, though talk about pricey -- $10 a bottle. The bottles are made with a proprietary AirWave venting system that's supposed to prevent colic.
They also have cool-looking training cups. I know you're probably not ready for those, yet, but I just had to show you a picture. Green and blue. What a terrific combo.
Tritan Training Cup; $10
Okay, so it's been a few years since my kids used bottles, but I'm pretty certain I didn't pay upward of $10 for one bottle, certainly not a sippy cup. I would have loved to have gotten these as a gift, for sure, but I wouldn't have been able to justify the expense from my own pocket.
I also didn't have a lot of luck with those anti-colic systems that some bottles claim to have. My babies were just as fussy and gripey.
Do those "designer" bottles like Avent, Dr. Brown's, and now Dr. Weil, with those special anti-colic technologies, make any difference in your child whatsoever?

Nope I used all the brands to help my baby with he's colics and nothing work I buy those dollar store bottles and work like magic LOL.
Well, I only technically used "designer" bottles with our first so I'm not sure. Though I did (and still do breastfeed), I used the Adiri Natural Nurser and Born Free bottles (all BPA free) with our first child (for when I was at work), and I plan on using the Adiri's again and I actually was looking into maybe purchasing some of the Dr. Weil's bottles. Not for the airvent or technology per se, but for the design. It's the interior designer in me ... what can I say!
I dont like DR brown bottles because the yellow part thing gets mold in it so easily and I wash them everyday! so now we have been using the Playtex vent air and I love them, besides the numbers rubbing off but after using them for so long you know where to fill them to. I dont care what bottles look like, as long as they work. Looks is not on the top list.

I used Playtex Vent-Air with my DS. The angle kept the air away from the nipple just like it did with my little sister. I hate the DR. Brown bottles. They leak all the time. I also don't like the Avent bottles because they are too big around. I don't think the type of bottle makes as much of a differance as burping properly and keeping baby in an upright position for a little while after they eat.
