"Back to work," actress Alyson Hannigan, star of How I Met Your Mother, tweeted a few days ago.

"I have even MORE respect for all the working Moms out there, it's hard (& I have it EASY!)." And then she added, "Dad's too. :)."

Your maternity leave is over and you've got to go back to work. How will your baby handle daycare or the babysitter without you? It's perfectly normal for little ones—and their moms—to get upset and even cry. The moms at Momversation talk about how to deal.

How did you deal with separation anxiety—your baby's and yours?

 My hats off to all you moms who have more than one kid to juggle—especially when one of those kids is a baby. I have just one and it's tough enough. My guess is that if your other kids are old enough, you're looking forward to back to school time. At least they'll be occupied for part of the day, and you can kick back and relax with the baby. As if.

In 2009, is it still safe to say that, after baby, women will become the stay-at-home parents? Does society still believe that if one parent is going to be giving up the career, it's going to be the woman?

Talitha over on Momlogic asks this very good question: Staying home after baby: Why me?! 

I work from home so I guess you could say I bring my baby to work. And things sometimes get tricky. She tends to wake up in the middle of conference calls and decides to hit all the keys on my computer just when I'm about to send that oh-so-important e-mail. Still, I think it's a lot different than if I brought my baby into an office. But that's an alternative that more and more moms are considering, and that companies are allowing.

I'm scared. Tomorrow my husband and I are going to see the new Katie Holmes play in New York City. But that's not why I'm afraid. I got the tickets this summer, when my daughter was just 6 months old. I thought I'd get back to being my former gal-about-town, theater-going self. Before I bought the tickets, I e-mailed my mother (who lives four hours away) to see if she could come babysit (I trust very few people with my baby). Do you see where this is going?

Here's e-mail #1: "Hi, Mom, I got tickets to a play on October 18, can you come babysit? We'll probably be gone for about six hours."

After I wrote that e-mail, I got sick to my stomach. My head starting spinning ...

Jessica Alba is starting work on a new film An Invisible Sign of my Own, and she will be bringing 4-month-old daughter Honor along. Alba says being away from her baby is tough and she doesn't want to miss out on any mommy moments. She told people.com, "I love my daughter and she's going to be with me every day on the set."
