In Baby of the Week I ask moms to guess what their little ones to be when they grow up based on their curent personalities. Some of the answers are pretty funny!
Moms in the Babies group are having a similar chat -- here are some of their best guesses as to what baby will be when he grows up:

Some of us may not remember Baby Fae. I recalled the name, but when I read that this week marks the 25th anniversary of her landmark surgery, I had to do some digging to refresh on who she was and what it was all about.
I was just a little kid when the baby, Stephanie Fae Beauclair, was born, certainly many years from momhood myself. But now that I read up on it I wonder if the perspective I had back then would have been different from the one I have now.
According to the National Ledger, Stephanie Fae Beauclair was a premature baby and suffered a condition known as hypoplastic left-heart syndrome, or a partially developed heart. It was untreatable.

The November issue of Parents magazine explains why we can predict a lot about the way our baby thinks, behaves and develops based on his or her sex.
Okay, so this explains my son's love of head butting a lot!
Here are some of the biggest differences:

Need some cash? Then do what I'm doing today and root around your house for those Baby Einstein videos your baby no longer watches. Or maybe she still watches them, but what the heck. Send them back anyway and get her some brand new baby books instead.
The Campaign for a Commercial Free Childhood has persuaded the Walt Disney Company to offer a full refund to anyone who purchased a Baby Einstein DVD in the last five years.
It's the result of a complaint the group filed with the Federal Trade Commission against Disney in 2006, insisting the company stop claiming the videos are educational for infants. The American Academy of Pediatricians says children under 2 should not watch any television.

Both my kids recieved either an 8 or a 9 APGAR score immediately after birth. I'd have to look it up to be sure. All I cared about what that they were crying and moving and alive.
But your doctor will do a little test to make sure your baby is perfectly okay. This is called the Activity, Pulse, Grimace, Appearance, and Respiration score, or APGAR.
The test, given immediately and five minutes after birth, was designed to quickly evaluate a newborn's physical condition after delivery and to determine if any extra medical or emergency care, such as CPR, is needed.
Click to see the APGAR in chart form or here's the rundown:

Both of my babies loved the exersaucer. If you're a brand new baby mama, these are the round activity tables with a fabric seat in the middle. Baby slips in, toes touching the bottom, and plays with plastic sliding balls, wheels and other enticing colorful toys afixed to the tray. If you haven't seen one yet, you will -- and you will be very tempted to get one because, well, they give mom a break and baby loves them! Just ask CafeMoms ...
But the exersaucer does not love baby, exactly. Some health professionals say that exersaucers are terrible for baby's posture and allignment. They don't teach him to walk or stand up properly -- just the opposite. Baby leans forward slightly and doesn't strengthen his back and stomach muscles. Some studies show that babies who spend a lot of time in exersaucers are delayed walkers. They also force the feet to curve inward, leading to possible foot deformities.

Leaving nothing but slobber marks behind, that other baby sure is fun. Your baby wonders, "She was silly. She touched her nose when I did...she laughed when I did."
Ah yes, mirrors. Endless entertainment.

We showed you how one family chronicled their son's first year — daily! — and how two other families documented their pregnancies in photos.
Well, if you're anything like me, once a month might be more your speed, especially during baby's first year.
