It's hard being a new mom (or even an experienced mom to a new baby) and sometimes we do things we know we shouldn't, despite what all the experts say. But this is a safe place to share your secrets—we won't tell.
This Week's Secret:
I hate breastfeeding. I've chosen to breastfeed because I feel it's best for my baby, but I hate doing it. My baby has a hard time latching, gets easily distracted, is fidgety, and rarely stays awake but even when it's not a battle, I still don't like it. — anonymous

This Week's Secret:
I put cereal in my baby's bottle. I know the doctors advise against it nowadays but I did it with my first when he was two months old and he was fine, and I plan on doing it again with my next one. — anonymous

This Week's Secret:
I'm a breastfeeding mom and have been sober for 19 months, but I've been craving beer like crazy. I won't drink, but I can't help fantasizing about it. — anonymous

This Week's Secret:
I love my son more than anything but sometimes I just don't want to be bothered with him so I stick him in his swing. He's just an itty baby but he annoys me a lot. — anonymous

It's hard being a new -- and an experienced mom! -- and sometimes we do things we know we shouldn't. This is a safe place to share your secrets (PM me).
This Week's Secret:
-- I use opened baby food jars in the fridge past that three to four day expiration period. -- anonymous
-- I gave my baby powdered formula that had been opened longer than a month. My baby is fine; it was only a couple of days over the limit. I figure those dates are just guidelines; it won't magically go bad after exactly 30 days. There were a good two to three bottles left, and at those prices, I certainly wasn't going to waste it. -- anonymous

This Week's Secret:
"I was having a yard sale one day, and had a soda can by my chair. I took my eyes off my 10-month-old son for a second, and the next thing I knew, he was drinking out of the can. It had my cigarette butts in it! He was making the nastiest face imaginable so I raced inside to get something to rinse out his mouth. I felt so terrible! But this experience has convinced me to quit smoking—I don't ever want something like that to happen again." — anonymous

This Week's Secret:
"I'm glad my baby is a bit 'behind.' She's a year old and isn't walking or standing on her own yet (her older sister was running at 9 months). But that let's me enjoy her being a baby a little while longer. — anonymous

This Week's Secret:
"My baby weighed over 11 pounds, and during the delivery he kind of got stuck. My doctor recommended a C-section, but he said he would continue with a vaginal delivery if I really wanted to. I was really scared of the tearing and pain so I said okay to the C-section. I feel so guilty—my boyfriend is the only other person besides the doctors and nurses who know. I tell anyone who asks that I gave birth naturally. — anonymous
