At some point over Thanksgiving weekend, one of my friends started to talk about the Snuggie. The Snuggie? Here I thought I was on top of all infomercials, but this was the first I heard about the blanket with sleeves! My brother-in-law said it was like a super sized, backwards bathrobe. And then I saw the infomercial....
Made of fleece, this as-seen-on-TV item is supposed to give you all the warmth of a blanket but it has arms so you can do things like type on your laptop or turn pages of a book all while your arms stay covered. It's $19.95 plus shipping and handling.
What do you think of the Snuggie? Must-have or what the heck?
Actually, I've seen something else similar that doesn't look so much like a giant muumuu. And I wouldn't mind it. My house is freezing during the winter, and my husband just tells me to put more clothes on. There are only so many layers I can wear! But a blanket with sleeves!? Tell me more!
When I first saw the infomercial I was like WTH (heck), but I have seen it a # of times now and it is growing on me... I am in Al... southern AL can't get no deeper south in AL than where I am and it get to chilly nights at times in the winter... I like to sit on the patio then too... I am thinking about getting one...or a few.....one for each of us. I will not be buying it... but making it myself... Ha!
LOL - Oh my gosh, I saw that on tv for the first time this morning! I think my blankets will do the trick though. :-)
This looks like something from the 70s (though not in a good fashion-y way) or from a Saturday Night Live skit.

I live in FL - so I think it would be a waste for me. Maybe if it were snowing outside or cold for more than 3 weeks at a time...
