olive oilCafeMom njiang46 posted this quick and easy tip for a DIY Hair Moisturizer in the Green Organic Natural Simple Living group — olive oil!

njiang46 swears by adding olive oil to hair conditioner. She says, "It helps moisturize your hair and gives nutrients."

Here's njiang46's recipe for soft, sleek hair:

  • Mix 4-5 drops of Extra Virgin Olive Oil with your conditioner
  • Apply it to your hair
  • Let it sit for about 20-25 minutes
  • Rinse it out
  • Do it 3 times a week

I know some people use olive oil as a skin moisturizer too. Do you use olive oil in any of your beauty routines?

I use olive oil w. honey to deep condition once a week.  I might add a few drops to my leave in conditioner if my hair's dry.
