My grandma and aunt used to have the cutest change purses. I think it's because they played BINGO...and my aunt would do her laundry down the street so the change was needed.

I think it was my grandma that had a little beaded one with a sun on it and the word Florida -- she probably bought it as a souvenir from a trip down there with my papa. I inherited it and wish I still had it.

I thought I was being so green toting around all of the reusable things I need during the day in my eco-chic bag. Then I caught a glimpse of myself in a store window: lumpy purse overflowing with bottles and snack containers, and a few salvaged plastic bags dangling from the strap. I realized I looked more like a bag lady than stylish eco-mama.

I can never have enough bags. I have a diaper bag, the bags I try to remember to take to the grocery store when I shop, and of course, tons of bags I use for my wallet, makeup, and slew of personal stuff.

My current handbag needs a little needle and thread action -- the magnetic that holds it together is falling off and I keep forgetting to sew it up.

And though I love my bag (it was a Christmas gift from my sister last year), I think I'm over it...need a little change.

Right now I really want a gray handbag. And I like them big so I can fit all my stuff that I for some reason feel I need to carry around with me.

I don't like putting my handbag on the side of chair in restaurants unless I'm against the wall. I'm worried about my bag being stolen.

So where does it often go? On the floor between my feet.

Not the cleanest of spots.

Someone thought about this and invented the Clipa, a hook to keep your bag off the floor!
