There are of things in the house that can make our hair look good -- and I don't just mean hair products.
Sadly, though, cake is not one of them...unless you are as cute as brighteyesbryar's daughter. Then you can get away with just about anything.
I've got a homemade hair recipe to get rid of frizz and all you need is some white vinegar -- and a touch of honey for a little something extra.

Lately my hair has been a total mess -- I just don't have the time or energy to do much with it. And when I'm around the house, not seeing anyone from the outside world, it's bed head times ten.
Apparently that means I am laid back and spontaneous.
Hmm...sometimes. What do know what your look says about you?

Sometimes Kim from Real Housewives of Atlanta's wig looks natural. Other times it looks like it's not sitting on her head correctly and it looks fake.
That's how I felt about clip in bangs -- wouldn't they look fake no matter what?
Apparently not. At least not if you're Jessica Simpson.

Here's a popular beauty question that went down on CafeMom yesterday:
What do you think of women who leave the house with wet hair?
I have wavy hair, so I often let my hair air dry for that tousled look—it's a hundred times easier and faster than blow drying and straightening it. Sometimes I wonder if people think my wet hair is sloppy, but then I remember that I could care less what they think. I think that's what the anonymous poster was getting at when she asked the above question: Do you judge women who leave the house with wet hair?

I set up a hair appointment with my go-to hairstylist for tomorrow. I know I'm going to get an ear-full, I always do.
See, I don't give my hair the best TLC. In fact, I'm pretty bad to it. My getting-ready routine includes straightening my wet hair (I have one of those wet-to-dry straighteners), and then putting hot rollers in it.

Whether you've been planning to cut your long hair into a shorter style or you simply want to make a difference in the lives of children, why not consider donating your chopped locks? Here's how one CafeMom donated her hair to help children in need.
"I've been growing my hair out specifically to donate. My hair grows quickly and it's healthy," says CafeMom bamsmom2001. "Since hair is something I can have easily, it made sense to donate to children who can't. It's so painless and easy to do!"

This weekend I was (once again) complaining about my greasy hair, and my mother-in-law sang the praises of coconut oil and its many natural beauty and health benefits. It moisturizes, conditions, nourishes, refreshes—you name it, coconut oil does it.
Here are five reasons to give coconut oil a try:
