I think one of the most romantic things a guy can do is carve a heart into a tree with your initials in it. A friend carved Will you marry me? when he proposed to his now-wife. The city equivalent to this is of course carving words into wet cement. Sweet!

But since cement doesn't often make for good jewelry and wood does, I adore these wood bracelets. Plus, wood is just so pretty, especially birch.

I used to keep my necklaces in a jewelry box and of course it was a chore to untangle them when I wanted to wear one. I did keep some of my more delicate chains draped over a mirror.

But my mom bought me this cute necklace stand and it's made my life easier. Well, easier when it comes to finding an untangled necklace.

I recently decorated the nursery and my husband and I bought these wall decals that have woodland creatures. There is a deer with big antlers and I love it.

We also bought this wall hanging of deer antlers, but it's really wood carved to look like the antlers. Also love.

So now I want antler earrings.

While it feels like Fall was overlooked for Old Man Winter here in NYC lately, Fall is my favorite season. The colors! The styles! The layers! The boots!

Elle magazine's Creative Director, Joe Zee, put together a guide to my favorite time of year -- Fall A to Zee. Each letter features a trend, showing off clothes, accessories, or beauty products, and whatever else in on trend and falls into the category.

When I was in college, I used to go to the hardware store to buy my jewelry. I'm serious. I would get strands of chains and fashion a necklace out of it. Heavy, yes. Also very cost effective for a student with no money.

That thick chain look still looks good and I found some necklaces that I am really loving right now.

I love beaded things and love vintage style (you all know that). Like this necklace I bought in a vintage shop in New Orleans -- it's my favorite.

And I really want these Vintage Native American Beaded Earrings ($35) from Ingram Cecil Vintage.

I'm wearing all black right now and these would look really cute dangling from my ears.

Although I'm not really wanting to take off my new mom necklace anytime soon, I can't help but adore these bold and colorful necklaces on MAGPIE lovely, from designer Miss Ruby Sue.
