Photo from Gap
These Gap ads are everywhere, you know the commercial where they are singing and dancing around and everyone looks all festive yet still casual? Then there's the magazine ad where I think the models are positioned in the shape of a snowflake or something?
Sigh. This ruffle plaid shirt.
Sigh. The marketing apparently works because I really really want one.

Would you join a shoe society? One where Kim Kardashian is your personal shoe stylist (along with other celebrity stylists)?
I'm intrigued. I love shoes.
At ShoeDazzle, for just $39.95 a month, each month you get a new pair of shoes.
Here are the details...

Photo from Anthropologie
My grandma and aunt used to have the cutest change purses. I think it's because they played BINGO...and my aunt would do her laundry down the street so the change was needed.
I think it was my grandma that had a little beaded one with a sun on it and the word Florida -- she probably bought it as a souvenir from a trip down there with my papa. I inherited it and wish I still had it.
Anthropologie has some of the most adorable, vintage looking change purses.

During the summer, I bought a really cute tankini bathing suit from Norma Kamali's line sold at Walmart. And last weekend, I hung out with my sister who bought Norma Kamali's Bat Wing Cardigan for just $18.
I want!

We all have different body types, but we don't see stores called Pear Shapes Shop Here or Busty Ladies Clothing Only -- there's one store and all the clothes are lumped in. Which can make it hard to find the right clothes.
Sometimes it gives me a headache trying to find out. And if you are like me, and hate trying on clothes when shopping, it means lots of returns.
InStyle magazine has a feature called Shop Your Shape: Ten Outfits for Day or Night -- and they take some of that guess work out of the shopping equation.
That's good news!

Photo from Urban Outfitters
There are tons of ways to wear a scarf, but a hooded scarf introduces a whole new look. I know they makes hooded scarves for kids, and why not make them for adults -- we lose our hats, too!
I really love Urban Outfitters' 2890 by Arne & Carlos Intarsia Hooded Scarf ($48) -- kind of expensive though. Maybe it's because it's from Scandinavian designers? I love the print and the length. And it delicately drapes over your head.
I also found these....

Last week's Project Runway had me scratching my head -- what is going on with them? There wasn't much to like in this last challenge. Are they all too busy talking about each other to focus on their own designs?
There usually is a couple of looks I love, but not this time.
Spoiler ahead...let's dish....

My mom and dad on their wedding day.
I remember missing the bus as a kid and she'd have to drive us to school. She wouldn't leave the house without her lipstick. So maybe her hair was a mess and she had on PJs under her coat, but her lips were perfectly painted red.
Another woman in my life who had amazing style was my aunt Eileen. She too always looked gorgeous. I remember her hair being frosted in the 80s and I thought it was just the most glamorous look. She was like Farrah Fawcett meets Lauren Bacall.
