I'm not a sneaker wearer, but that doesn't mean a pair of kicks can't make me smile. Just look at these Watermelon Vans! When so many people are digging out of snow and bundled up in scarves and mittens, Vans gives us a peek from their Spring line! I can almost feel the sun from looking at them....

New Year. New you. How many times have you heard that? Truth is, you don't need a new you -- there are so many great things about all of us already. We just need to see our full potential.

I look at CafeMom Arisa and I am inspired. Yes, it must have been great to be crowned All American Talent Woman, but even greater is that Arisa is using her title to further her efforts to increase awareness of domestic violence.

Arisa is beautiful on the inside and outside and I applaud her!

Wow! I know we're all saying it but I cannot believe it's 2009! This past year has had it's ups and downs, but for me, 2008 will always have it's magic because it's the year I got married. And I'm also not big on making New Year's resolutions, but I've been feeling a bit introspective lately, so here goes....

OK, my friend Melody (seen at right) couldn't look ugly if she tried. But here she was trying with her $2 sweater she bought at a Goodwill in Oklahoma. You can't see from this photo, but it has mini bells on it...and yes, they jingled! She wore it as a dress with a Santa-like belt to a holiday-themed ugly sweater party.

What are you doing for New Year's Eve? I'll admit that it's my least favorite night of the year to go out. I live in NYC and it gets too crazy and crowded, so I prefer a quiet evening at home watching the ball drop on TV. In years past, I've had a couple of friends over or kept it mellow at small gatherings.

Whether you're planning on hitting the town or are tucking the kids in at normal bedtime (or letting them stay up to watch the ball fall, too), you can still ring in the New Year with some beauty and style! I've rounded up some goodies featured in Beauty & Style Buzz perfect for the occasion.

Introducing, the beautiful my2luvbugs aka Teresa (who is also a great photographer)! She and her DH have two boys, Justin is 4 1/2 and Zachary is 2. "They are about as opposite as you can get. Justin (the tame one) is a spitting image of my hubby, and Zack (the wild child) is my lil' clone," she says. "But they are typical boys, love the dirt, bugs, puddles, and everything in between."

My bag is boring compared to others!
