The Polly Klaas Foundation is offering a wonderful free gift for parents: a child safety kit that includes a 24-page information booklet about "abduction prevention without scaring your child (or yourself)." It also comes with two fingerprint/DNA documents to record critical identifying information about your child.

I really appreciate the idea of the book coming along with this kit, because abduction prevention is something that you can't know too much about. For free, this gift is bigger than a bargain. Did I mention that it comes to you, and you can use it all in the privacy of your home?
