Love this red, white, and blue themed big boy's room — although with a few slightly more feminine accents, it could easily work as a girl's room too. Love that.

This is Ellis's room, son of Julie Murphy, the founder/designer behind Jack and Lulu. The complete tour of her beautiful New York home can be found on Design*Sponge.

They've combined an affordable IKEA reversible bed (converts from high to low by flipping and here, with a second mattress, also works as a bunk bed for sleepovers or siblings) with a mix of unique and adorable accents, which make this room so simple but nice.

(Don't miss Julie's amazing canary wall, which I am coveting to no end; the print grouping idea would be very cute in any kids' room.)

That's cute.  I used to have red white and blue (kind of darker hues though) sheets for my son and always wanted to do his whole room in a vintage red, white and blue thing.

And my son so wants that bed.  He's been begging us for years to get it.  Originally he was going to have to share a room with his baby sister so we figured it would be perfect for her to sleep on the bottome but he ended up moving in with his older and 13 month younger sister instead.  If he would actually sleep in his bed we might get it for him (he mostly sleeps on the floor, though).

I really love that bed- we have bunks but the lower one is not at floor level.  That would be great for my five year old (on top) and her toddler sister on the bottom.  I wish we had bought that one instead of the one we have!  As for the red white and blue theme, it's very cute... I'm Canadian so I would take out the blue and stick up a maple leaf instead of a star! LOL!

ok, ive dont the red, whit and blue room, my son is 13, and this would not fly..I mean look at the toy next to the bed.  I know my son would hate this room. This is for smaller kids. Not teens. Not even Big Kids
