Now that Halloween is over, talk with turn to the holidays. Not so much Thanksgiving, but the good ones that involve toys. In case your Big Kid might be tempted to spill the beans about Santa to your little ones who still believe, here's a funny story.
anetrnlov found this on Facebook. I don't know if it's true or not, but what a great comeback line ...
"Today, my 6 year-old daughter was asking me questions about Santa Claus at dinner. My 13 year-old daughter was getting annoyed with all the dumb questions and simply told her younger sister that Santa didn't exist. Instead of being aghast and upset, my younger daughter just said, 'Yeah, but neither does Edward Cullen!' "
"My older daughter left the dinner table and I think its easy to say who won tonight."

What made me chuckle even more was Sweet_Britt in the Newcomer's Club, where anetrnlov shared this story:
"Wait. What? He doesn't? Booooooooo."
I heart CafeMom sarcasm.

Should I Let My Son Believe in Santa?
haha, that is too cute!
My son thankfully stopped believing in Santa a couple of years ago... the hard part is, there are still several people we know who have kids that still believe, so I have to remind my son to just not talk about it, so he doesn't "blow Santa's cover". I found out pretty fast that there are a lot of parents that will rip you a new one if your kid doesn't believe and lets on to their kids that Santa is not real. I don't want my kid to ruin it for anyone, but I can't wait until all the other kids his age come around to the idea so we don't have to be so careful to keep up the story of Santa.
LOL
I was told by my little brother that there HAS to be a Santa because Mom and Dad could never afford to buy him and my sister all the stuff they get for Christmas.
That's a great, question, Lynette. If it were me, I'd keep it going as long as you can! I think I was 19 ;)
Lynette, I'd suggest telling them before the other kids start telling them. Because the older they all, the last thing they hold onto is "mom and dad wouldn't lie'. The already figured out the rest, and that's all that's keeping it. You don't want it to get to that point, where their friends are laughing at them. You know your kid best, and you'll know where tha line is!

ZING! You gotta love the 6-year-old in this story. I know I do :)
I should get her to talk to my friends who are in their late-20s & Twilight-obsessed. They are in desparate need of that reality check.
