What Song Takes You Back to a Happy Time in Your Life?

My daughter was an 80's girl for Halloween. It was funny as we pulled her costume together, because she was telling me how her outfit should look! As if! I let my little diva know that I lived the 80's so I was the expert on the fashion. Showing my daughter how to create big hair and put on leg warmers reminded me of the fun I had during high school and college.  I wouldn't go back to those days but I have some fond memories this time period, especially the music!  When I want to torture my kids, I make them listen to my music, which is heavy on 80s' hits. Music from this time in my life makes me happy! Is there an artist, song or genre of music that reminds you of a happy time?

DivaMom6 enjoys listening to Justin Timberlake and Beyonce. I'm a member of the group Country Music Mama's who dig on the C&W sound!

Here is what I want to know:

1)The music/song/artist that takes you back to a happy time in your life?

2)What part of your life does the music remind you of?

If you paid me a million bucks, I would not go back to college or high school. I am happy now and love my family. But the tunes from the 80's just put me in a great mood! Here are some of the tunes that I listen to over and over:

Talking Heads-And She Was

The Vapors-Turning Japanese

The Romantics-What I Like About You

Finally, don't hate me for this next music pick. I know he's totally out there now but back in the 80's Michael Jackson was the bomb! I offer you the Thriller video as proof!  Tell me I'm wrong!

Loved Michael Jackson back then... but the song that brings back a rush of memories is Scenes from an Italian Restaurant by Billy Joel.

My aunt made me a Michael Jackson glove that I proudly wore in the 80s!

I grew up in Queens and Brooklyn, NYC, and for me The Ramones (my hometown heroes) bring back great memories of singing everything from Rock And Roll High School when I was a kid. Still love hearing those songs now.
