For me, I consider buying movies an "investment" and only buy DVDs that I know will be watched over and over again in my household.

I'm currently totally obsessed with Rescue Me, the ongoing FX television series about the post-September-11th life of Tommy Gavin, an FDNY firefighter, played by Denis Leary.

Although I was originally scared off by the "manliness" of this show, now I fiend to watch every hour!

It seems like the summer blockbusters are always some of the best movies of the year. Here are some links I love for those of you that are movie buffs like myself:

I know many of you and your kids love the Disney Princesses. But what if those lovely gals with all the sweet songs had real problems? What if, instead of their typical happy endings, Prince Charming was no prince or Cinderella drowned her princess sorrows in tequila shots or Jasmine had to lead a violent rebellion through the desert?

Marley & Me is out on DVD, have you seen it? The movie is based on the popular book by John Grogan.

We own a giant Lab named Max, so we are part of the cult known as Lab People. Below is a picture of our sweet 125 pound Yellow Lab and one of our Pugs. I have not rented Marley & Me yet. Spoiler Alert! Read on at your own risk!

March 21, 2009. The day the Twilight DVD is released! In case you have been living under a rock.

I am going to Walmart tonight with my best friend, my tween daughter and two of her pals to wait in line for the movie to be released. Then we'll have our own DVD of *swoon* Robert Pattinson/Edward Cullen.

It's the day before the Twilight movie hoopla begins! My best friend and I are taking a whole crew to a Twilight event at Walmart Friday night, so we can get our copy of *sigh* the Twilight DVD at 12:01am!

It's hard to know who is more excited about the DVD coming out...me and my BFF or the kids. But I don't care, I love the movie and can't wait to get the DVD. I know I'm not alone, there are 3,392 women just as pumped as I am, in the Fans of Stephenie Meyer and her Twilight Series group!

It's St. Patrick's Day, the day that everybody is Irish! St. Paddy's Day is a huge holiday in my world because my family has Irish roots and I married a man with very Irish ties, my husband Timothy Patrick Joseph, also known as Saint Timothy.

He has two middle names--I'm sharing his name with you, just so you know I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that March 17th is a big holiday for our crew.

Are you looking for a movie to watch this weekend? From Jason Statham's Transporter 3 to the Oscar winning Milk, you have a wide selection of DVDs to choose from!

I am amazed that some of these movies are already available on DVD. Are movies being released to DVD faster than they used to be? Maybe it's just me but it sure seems like it.

Transporter 3 is another wild ride! Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is forced into transporting the kidnapped daughter of a Ukraine big shot. My husband and I love the Transporter movies...I get to watch Jason and he digs the action! Are you a Transporter/Jason Statham fan?
