It's the holiday season and that means family. If your childhood was dysfunctional, you'll appreciate my Top 5 Dysfunctional Family Holiday Movies list! A few weeks ago, I wrote about the Top 5 Dysfunctional Family Movies. I was inspired to make a holiday list of dysfunctional family flicks because of the great comments I received!
julieh0906 reminded me that National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is one of the best dysfunctional family movies! cheekycherub suggested adding The Ref to my list.

#5) A Christmas Story - Puts the fun into dysfunctional.
#4) The Ref - Dennis Leary and Kevin Spacey make me cry with laughter every time.

The Mom Song is a stress buster for moms. I saw this video, The Mom Song or Everything a Mom Says in a Day on You Tube months ago. My sister-in-law sent it to me this morning and it made me laugh. Remember to laugh during the holidays! Laughter is the best medicine.

We used to do family movie and game night. Until my oldest daughter hit the age of 14 and decided that everything her 10-year-old sister picked out was too juvenile. But this weekend, we test drove a new game, Boogie Super Star, from Wii. Here are the results....

I am thankful this holiday for two reasons, Grace and Kate. The girls are a gift and the joy of my life. But Grace and Kate teach me something new everyday and my daughters have made me a better person. By seeing the world through my children's eyes, I have learned to appreciate the small miracles in life.

What if your toddler or pre-schooler loves a TV show that you hate? I'm talking the kind of show that is like nails on chalkboard. I did my time watching hours of Barney and the Teletubbies, ladies. I am out of that stage but I remember it well! I logged many hours with my girls watching the purple dinosaur and the purse carrying metro-sexual Tinky Winky.
