Refreshing Watermelon Punch - Alcoholic or Non-Alcoholic

watermelon punchI had a party last year and made this watermelon punch -- everyone wanted the recipe! It was so refreshing and delicious, people forgot there was alcohol in it. Dangerous! But you can certainly make it without booze for the kids or mamas-to-be and it's just as good.

What's best is that it's really easy to make. Here's how....

You will need:

  • 6 cups of pre-sliced watermelon with no seeds. (I cheated. You can certainly buy a watermelon, slice part of the top off and take out all the fruit inside, using the watermelon shell as a bowl and the fruit in the punch. I just wasn't that ambitious.)
  • 1 12-ounce can of frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 limes
  • 6 cups of vodka (if desired)

How to prepare:

Blend 3 cups of watermelon in blender to liquefy. In a punch bowl (or the carved watermelon), pour the watermelon blend, pink lemonade, and vodka (if it's alcoholic punch). Slice the lemons and limes in thin circles and add with the remaining 3 cups of watermelon slices. Stir well to make sure pink lemonade concentrate is well blended. Serve with two cubes of ice.

What a great Memorial Day weekend drink!

Have you ever made a watermelon punch?

Awww yeah!  Here's to another version of something fruity I can make for our next back yard BBQ.  An adult version and a version for the kiddies.  Love it!

Punch...
This sounds wonderful and refreshing! I'm throwing a baby shower for one of my friends at the end of the month and this would be a great refreshment. She's having a girl, so it would also tie into the theme. It's a ladybug theme. Thanks for this great recipe!

I tried it and it was delicious. My brother-in-law is not a fan of watermelon, but he will drink anything with vodka
