low-sugar lemonadeGot lemons? Then make refreshing low-sugar lemonade this summer. Most store-bought brands (fresh, frozen, powdered, etc.) are way too loaded with sugar...

Low-Sugar Lemonade from Self Magazine

4-5 lemons

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 quart sparkling water

Fresh mint

Lemon wedges

Juice lemons. Blend with applesauce and maple syrup. Stir in sparkling water. Pour mixture into large pitcher filled with ice. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh mint.

Lumin...

yum yum I love lemonade! We just use fresh lemons and splenda. I make lemonade slush pops for the kids, too.. I blend 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice, 1/2 cup splenda, and 2 cups ice, then pour it into Popsicle molds. Delish! Its good just blended too. We make orange, strawberry, and raspberry ones too.. but on those I use the whole frozen fruit and use half the splenda as I do with lemons.

Maple syrup?  Really?

Weird.

I'd have to try it.
