Is it rude NOT to give out goody bags at your kids' birthday party? Some moms think that party bags are wasteful, filled as they usually are with plastic and sugary junk that usually gets thrown away at home. But others feel guilty and find it hard to part with the tradition of handing out party favors as a "thank you" to guests.
