Kids love Mummy Dogs for Halloween, so why not Mummy Pizzas? These are made with pizza dough (I'd use English Muffins), sauce, string cheese, and black olives. Visit Kara's Kitchen Creations for the easy how-to.

Is it rude NOT to give out goody bags at your kids' birthday party? Some moms think that party bags are wasteful, filled as they usually are with plastic and sugary junk that usually gets thrown away at home. But others feel guilty and find it hard to part with the tradition of handing out party favors as a "thank you" to guests.
If you think a parting gift is a nice gesture, here are a few creative alternatives to the classic trinket-filled goody bag.

Monster masks? Pin the tail on Max? Tissue paper vine decorations? Sounds like a Where the Wild Things Are-themed birthday party to me! So cute. And so relevant now that the movie is making the book more popular than ever. Party Perfect has great ideas for throwing your child a Wild Things bash.
Do you love the Wild Things theme?

Not all Halloween treats have to rot our kids' teeth. Pennies on a Platter has instructions for how to carve oranges into cute, little "Snack-O-Lanterns." Fill 'em up with fruit salad for a sweet treat of the natural variety.

Need a quick, no-bake recipe for the upcoming school Halloween party? I literally made these boo-tiful babies in under five minutes. (Oops, looks like Mr. Cafe Kim got to them before I snapped the shot.)
I got the idea for these Nutter Butter Ghost cookies from Kraft Foods. Just melt white chocolate in the microwave or double boiler, coat Nutter Butters with chocolate, and let cool for a few moments before decorating with chocolate chips or whatever strikes your fancy. As you can see, I'm borderline decorationly challenged, so I'm sure yours will look a little better.
