Just as every family has a different way of celebrating Thanksgiving, so, too, does every family have a different way of roasting the turkey. And, some families don't even eat turkey at all! This isn't the first time I'm written about my love affair with leftovers. In my house, we always have food leftover from dinner; often, Mr. Cafe Kim and I will use it to make sandwiches for lunch the next day.
Can I tell you a secret? I actually prefer food on the second day—the flavors are so much more intense! Here are some of our favorite meals-turned-into-sandwiches:

During the fall, we eat a lot of pomegranates in my house—sprinkled over salads, mixed into yogurt, in cranberry sauce. I love the taste, and it's a great source of antioxidants. But removing the seeds from the pomegranate is tricky business...

Some moms think that party bags are wasteful, filled as they usually are with plastic and sugary junk that usually gets thrown away at home.
