Here's a common question that's especially important given that Memorial Day—a.k.a. the first official day of grilling!— is tomorrow.
When it comes to grilling, which do you prefer: Gas or charcoal?
I love the smoky, charred flavor meat takes on when it's cooked over charcoal. But charcoal grills sometimes take a long time to heat up, and I'm usually too hungry and excited about devouring burgers, hot dogs, etc. to wait—for these times, I prefer gas grills.
And you? Check out Chow.com's guide to gas versus charcoal, then take our poll:

It's Memorial Day Weekend, which means summer is finally here! I'm looking forward to thr first barbecue of the season—and a big, fat juicy burger. Martha Stewart has recipes for 25 different kinds of burgers. They all look pretty yummy, but this one's my favorite:

Call me a foodie (or a fatty), but some of my most fond memories of those family beach vacations were chowing down on some fresh seafood.

It's family picnic time—the sun is shining bright outside and spring evenings are so very nice as well! Head for a park or your other favorite natural world locale with some delicious edibles.
We've had a few picnics right out in our backyard. It's a nice change of scenery, like a little mini edible staycation. Spread out a blanket, put your bare feet in the grass, and serve up something good to eat.
Here are some of my favorite picnic gear of the season:

We try to avoid eating in airports at all costs. Not only is the food often ridiculously overpriced ($3 for a water?), but most of it tends to gross me out.
Food courts are becoming harder and harder to resist these days, though—now that trip delays are the norm, particularly around the holidays. I, unfortunately, had to partake in an absolute disaster of cheeseburger when my flight was delayed four hours last weekend.
