A friend of mine recently told me his employer blocked Facebook at work. I hope everyone is allowed to check CafeMom at the office! (In our breaks and only during appropriate times, of course.)
Along these lines, I read that many workplaces have strict settings on their company Google search engines, too. With these strict settings on, you cannot Google clitoris, according to Truemors. But you can, however, Google penis, and you'll get 33,000,000 results.
Is this fair? Anyway, clitoris is not a dirty word. And in case you have trouble Googling it, here is some info:
What is the clitoris?
It's the female sex organ, according to Discovery Health. Providing its owner with sexual pleasure is the organ's only known function, and the clitoris is the only organ in either sex with pleasure as its sole function. It has nothing to do with getting pregnant, with menstruation, or with urination.
When a woman becomes sexually aroused, both the glans and the shaft fill with blood and increase in size. The glans can double in diameter. There is no evidence that a larger clitoris means more intense sexual arousal.
As erotic stimulation continues and orgasm approaches, the clitoris becomes less visible as it is covered by the swelling of tissues of the clitoral hood. This swelling is designed to protect the clitoris from direct contact, which, for some women, can be more irritating than pleasurable. It moves out again when the stimulation stops.
After orgasm the clitoris returns to its normal size within about ten minutes because the orgasm leads to a dispersal of the accumulated blood.
How do you find it?
Locate and identify the inner labia (inner lips are smaller than the outer lips) because a woman's clitoris is going to be located at the point at the top where they meet. The clitoral shaft is often concealed by the hood. To locate it, you or your partner can use your fingers. See a diagram of the clitoris at The-Clitoris.com to help even more.
Do you think it's a little weird for Google's strict settings to omit clitoris but not penis?
FILED UNDER: in the news, sex life, time for you
Ok, at first I was appauled that these settings would not let you Google clitoris. But now that I have read on, I suppose I can understand why. The penis is multifunctional (urination and sexual function) and the clitoris' only function is pleasure. So I guess I don't find it weird that they would omit clitoris, but I do find it weird that people would be Googling "Clitoris" and "Penis" at work.
I can at work. I just checked! I received 14,500,000 results. Now, as long as they are not running a log on my computer, I will be okay!
LOL, I'm not going to try! There are no blocks on things here, but it wouldn't be hard for someone to find what I searched for, and I'd rather not have to explain that, lol!
Well I am so happy that you blogged this beauty queen... As a Nurse (OBGYN) I do not know how many times I have been asked what and where is it and what does it do.... I am patient but have told many to touch it and you will find out... Some say that they have never had an orgasm... (that is the easiest way and once you know what you like and how you like to be touched, you can direct dh on how too please you....
Now that I am a Dr. in study of Natural Path ( the study of Natural Medicine)Herbs) this is one of my specialties (sexual health)... I guess it is the most googled Cuz the men and or women... may be mostly women who knows... But I think if is searched the most cuz people are trying to learn how to climax, stimulate ones self or mate.. I think it is a good thing... knowledge is power... bet those who are searching it.... lol, lol their relationship probably is better or they know one self better HA!
The idea that someone would need to explain, on a board where women have BABIES, what the clitoris is... this world is SAD.
If you don't know your body or how it works, don't have sex - much less have children. *shudder*
