It dawned on me this week that I am not 21 anymore. I do not know how this happened. I was 21 just 13 years ago. Back then, I could drink shots till 5 a.m. Now, I rise with kids at 5 a.m., and I only do shots of Yoga Bunny Detox. If you ever see this drink, you've got to try it. It's so good.
See? I'm old!
I'm having trouble wrapping my head around my age because I'm starting to plan my 35th birthday. I want to celebrate because I've been in a pregnancy or baby haze since I was 30, and I haven't marked my birthday in 5 years.
To feel better, I went to RealAge to see if I am, at the very least, "Living Life to the Youngest," as their slogan promises.
This is the online questionnaire by doctors Michael Roizen and Mehmet Oz--you've probably seen it on Oprah--that tells you if you're older or younger than your actual age, based on your healthy (or unhealthy) lifestyle.
It took me 17 minutes to answer every question, which I did when I was supposed to be folding socks. I was pleased that my Real Age turned out to be 31.9. Woot. Woot.
And I can get younger, too. The website tells me what bad health habits I can improve on to be healthier and add a few years to my life. A few things I need to do:
CafeMoms in the CafeMom Newcomers Club were taking the Real Age test recently. Some were happy with the test when it made them younger; a few were not so happy.
I was not happy with my Wii Fit age. That snotty thing called me 50, which is fine--if you're 50. I'm going to pretend I never saw that and work on my Wii Yoga Tree Pose.
Meanwhile, I'm all about RealAge.
What do you think about getting older? Does it ever bother you? Do you have something--like Yoga Bunny Detox--that makes you feel better?

i wont start me wii fit program until i have my baby in april because they dont calculate for that i dont wanna be miscalculated as bigger/older than i am.... i can do yoga with or without it,,, still love wii bowling, can do that preggo anyday!
Shopping and going to the movies with friends (NO KIDS) makes me feel my age. I am 25 but sometimes with the chaos of my son, full time job, and bills, bills, bills I feel overwhelmed and exhausted.
This morning my Wii Fit told me I was 31, I'm actually 46. All that means is I have good posture and balance. It doesn't take into account that I'm a type 1 diabetic with a penchant for wine. LOL
biological age 31.1
real age 27.7
That's funny, because when people guess my age, they always guess mid to late 20s. Now I've to work on that weight and stress thing :0)
It came up with my actual age. I have a good lifestlye/diet whatever, but lots of stress so I guess it evens out.
Oh no! I am 36.2 AND this told me that my real age is 36.7.
Why can't I be really younger than I am! :)
I need to start eating breakfast and do more cardio.

I have a Wii Fit and at first my age was kinda high. But since I have been using it regularly and working out I am right around my age, and twice I was a year younger. Which is 34.
