Do men really prefer
hourglass figures?
The Girls Next Door stars sure seem to get a lot of attention when they're out on the town. But apparently, most men aren't interested in their bodies (it must be their brains that guys go ga ga for) so save your money if you're planning on getting a boob job.
According to a recent Australian study, men (Australian men, anyway) prefer women with size 12 bodies.
Researchers showed the guys some line drawings of women's figures and asked them to pick the most appealing ones. The drawings the majority of men preferred were those that closely resembled an average woman's body rather than a centerfold's body.
That said, who cares what guys think of your body? The person it's most important to make happy is yourself—but women tend to be harder on themselves than anyone. I wonder how the study would have turned out if the researchers asked female subjects to choose their "ideal" body?
Are you happy with your body? What's your ideal body size and shape? What (female) celebrity do you think has the perfect bod?

Models are so lanky and tall. But some are so pretty. But the average woman is a size 12. When you are younger it seems like such a big deal to be thin. But really, are you trying to look good or just to conform to societies what is in ? Not everyone is comfortable being so thin , but don't knock it or ask if I just ate.Because I would never ask how many snacks someone heavier just had. It is a matter of respect. Not everyone wants pasta, appetizer and dessert everytime they eat. There is nothing wrong with eating three meals and eating healthy to your standards. Living with an Italian family, that is all that is talked about ,food. But it is your body and your will to be any size you want without approval of anyone except yourself. Then you will not yo yo diet and just enjoy eating....
I'm not so much interested in being the "average" American woman's size. I want to be the size that is healthy for me. I am a size 9/10 and my doctor wants me to loose a couple of pounds, but more than that, I'm not happy with the shape of my body and my energy level. We should be careful not to use the "average" size as a way to be in denial about our health. That average includes the obese women too. We need to focus on healthy eating habits and regular exercise and our bodies will look the way they should.

I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I was always that fat sister, friend, cousin. Then I finally got it in my brain that I had control over this. I started eating right and going to the gym. I dropped 65-70 pounds and 12 dress sizes. Then a great thing happened. I met the man of my dreams, got married, and then got pregnant. I was scared about getting back into old habits while I was pregnant, but new I couldn't restrict calories. Then I had a few complications and wasn't able to do anything physical. That was a turning point. I gained about 35-40 pounds while pregnant. Which I wasn't to mad about. I took me about a year to get back to the same weight I was before the pregnancy. That problem now is that I am still upset about my body. I just don't look the same. Everything seems to just be a lot more loss than it was before. I don't understand how some women can go from giving birth to wear a bikini in two months flat. I don't even want to put on a bathing suit this summer. I hate that I know that I should be happy with how I look, but still look in the mirror and feel gross.
Thin and Sexy with big boobs is in at my house. I was the "average" size 12 just 3 months ago but wasn't happy in my skin as there was too much of it. I wasn't healthy and lacked motivation and energy. I am very blessed to have a supportive husband who never said anything negative about my excess weight and always told me I looked good but who has also been very supportive of my transformation to my current size 6 by eating heatlhy alongside me and joining me at the gym. I have more energy and sleep better now that I'm eating healthier foods, drinking 2-3 liters of water every day and exercising 5-6 days a week (only 20-50 minutes). Don't let the "average" size pigeonhole you. I pray that you all "want" to be the healthiest you can be so you can live a full life to enjoy your kids and your life longer.
If this article was about women being fat with little boobs not being in, everyone would be offended. But I guess it is okay to put down people who are thin these days.
I'm a size 14 and it suits me just fine. Not too skinny, and not fat either. Then again, OTHERS tell me that I'm "tall and skinny", even though I weigh 180 pounds!! I guess it just depends on your particular body. I'm very tall, so any weight less than 175 pounds makes me look anorexic. Seriously. I am trying to get back into my size 12 jeans, because it's important to ME. I don't much care about how others view MY body.
i would LOVE to hav jennifer love hewits body. thats my ideal body. im an a cup and i wear a size 9 jeans. i might seem hard on myself but i relly hate how i look. everyone tells me im tall and thin but im 5'4 and 130 lbs. i dont lik it. i think we all hav a low self esteem at some point after a baby. although i would lik to b confident, i dont c how i can b.

I'm about a size 12--usually about a size 9 though, but i just had a baby, but i'm happy with my body-- I think models are way too skinny and its just not practical or healthy.
