Last night on The Biggest Loser: The contestants spend a final week on the ranch, Suze Orman makes a guest appearance, and Season 8's Final Four are finally revealed. Here's a quick recap...
In the contestants final week at the ranch, personal finance expert Suze Orman paid a visit to the ranch. At first I was confused as to why she would be on the show, but she ended up sharing some important (and surprising!) statistics about obesity and finance:
- In one year, obese employees earn $7,000 less than non-obese employees.
- A family of four can save $8,760 a year if they swap one meal in a restaurant for one meal at home every day.
- Americans spend $4.4 billion a year on gastric bypass surgery; each year, 220,000 Americans get the $20,000 surgery.
- An adult who goes from being obese to their ideal weight will save $1 million over 40 years.
I find the monetary figures in these statistics to be shocking high...would you agree? I had no idea obesity was costing so much money!
Back to the show: The challenge this week was a football challenge, in which the contestants had to race each other down a football field carrying the weight they've lost on their backs. Allen was the first to finish, winning two tickets to the Pro Bowl and $5,000 worth of sporting equipment to donate to his daughters school.
Allen may have been the winner in the challenge, but his luck ran out by the end of the show. Liz and Allen fell below the yellow line; Amanda and Danny voted to eliminate Allen, which means that Final Four are: Liz, Rudy, Amanda, and Danny.
Now that Allen's gone, I don't know who I'm going to root for!

I couldn't believe Amanda let Liz stay on the show! Liz is my fave so I was happy, but I thought that was a bad move on Amanda's part. However, it's likely that either Rudy or Danny will win, so it may not matter in the end. Who is YOUR favorite, CafeKim?
ps was anyone else getting a sexual vibe from Bob and Amanda's heart to heart?
Ooohhh this is a hard one. Actually, I think I like Liz!
And YES, I was totally getting that vibe from Amanda and Bob! All their talk of "having a connection" and being "hereos"...I'm so confused, though, what do you think about it?
I was also getting sexual vibe from Danny and Liz!! But I read into stuff way too much anyway. Hee hee.

I also felt the vibe with Bob and Amanda...yikes! I am rooting for Danny or Liz.

Have u guys heard that he ever appeared on the hot hook-up club sugar smingle. C OM for wealthy singles/celebs? That sounds amazing, I know. But there are a few hot photos of his there and quite a few hot girls are found in his circle there. I did try to send him a wink there. lol
Amanda made NO sense at all.. she said " If I was playing the game, I would vote for Allen, but.. I'm playing for integrity, so I'm voting for Allen..."
Huh???
Come on... Allen is the bigger threat than Liz, that's why she voted for him. Liz needed to be voted off...she's been below the yellow line 4 weeks in a row! That is the first time that Allen had been below the line.
Out of the 4 of that are left, I like Danny the best. He seems to be in it for the right reasons...his kids and wife. He is a family man... Amanda is ok, but she is whiny to a point that irks me. Liz is a twit... I used to like her, but she has rubbed me the wrong way recently. Rudy is too wishy washy for me...

I'm torn. Part of me is rooting for Danny. But I still love Rudy even though he is weird sometimes. I love the girl power Amanda showed. But she's still young. And while I want them all to succeed, I want the money to go to a family.
