Do you text while you drive? I don't but my husband does. He texts, fiddles with his iPod, reads maps, and more—and it makes me crazy, especially now that we have a baby in the car.

The first thing that moms do when they wake up in the morning -- besides peeing and grabbing coffee -- from The Cafe:
-- I go straight to the computer to check my emails, otherwise I can't for the rest of the day.
-- Normally, I **** my husband. Morning sex is the best.
-- I brush my hair and use my inhaler.
-- I make a bottle and then change a really DISGUSTING diaper.
-- Grunt at my husband, because all he does is bitch and complain once he hits the alarm.

Are you the type to occasionally let an F-bomb slip if you stub your toe or slice your finger open? Don't feel guilty: New research shows that swearing may help to lessen the pain.

If you read this post in The Cafe that one mom wrote therapeutically to vent about her two close calls in traffic accidents the other day, you'll be amazed at the number of bad driver horror stories that abound.
Drivers running red lights, near miss T-bones, rear-ending, swerving into lanes. Reckless drivers nearly crashing into innocent people who were driving safely and obeying the traffic laws.
I really used to think it was just me who encountered these crazies on a daily basis. Now I know they are everywhere. And to the mom who commented that Florida drivers are the worst, I beg to differ. New York drivers, any day of the week.

When men have good habits, like cleaning the house, they get more sex -- I think most of us agreed on that.
But what about those bad habits men have? Some of them are enough to make any woman crazy.

I took a fun poll in Newcomer's, in which a mom was asking which act of bodily effluence was the most disgusting to witness publicly: spitting, passing gas, or belching.
I voted "spitting," hands down. A guy hocking on the sidewalk next to me the other day almost got me. I see clumps of yellow-white stuff on the local walking path all the time, and I'm sure my kids and I have tracked the dried stuff into our house on numerous occassions.
Like some of the other poll takers mentioned, flatulence and burps are gross, but kind of excusable because they are involuntary (for the most part). Spitting is a choice, and it's almost exclusively a choice of men.
Don't they know that tuberculosis is transmitted that way? As well as gads of colds and viruses?
wildcatmomma is as repulsed as I am:

Would this graphic image get you to stop smoking?
Do you think it might prevent you -- or your kids -- from starting in the first place?

Over on That's Fit, I came across a magical headline: "Sugar -- Is it a Health Food Now?"
Finally I thought, my addiction is valid. It's nothing to be ashamed about anymore. Sugar is our friend. Oh how I was wrong.

A couple of weeks ago, Cafe Kim asked about your favorite Easter candy and over 20 of you commented and 90 of you voted, revealing just how much we all love candy even as adults. Monkeyberry wrote: "Stale Peeps are the bomb." Lennon_Molly agreed. The most popular candy? Cadbury Candy Eggs, which won 30 percent of the votes.

A study published in the April 1st edition of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition linked weight loss to a reduction in liquid calorie consumption. The study was cited this week in an MSNBC report, "Liquid calories, a bigger diet-buster than food." Apparently, sugar-sweetened beverages (soft drinks, sodas, fruit drinks) are the biggest hindrance to weight loss. (Hmm...I scream for ice cream!)
