I'm always so inspired by hearing other women's stories of how they've lost weight, increased their fitness, and adopted a more healthier lifestyle, aren't you?
Mom_love07 has graciously agreed to share her weight loss journey with us. She's a 21-year-old mama to daughter, Addison, 2, and lives in Illinois. Her goal? Some people can eat an entire meal before working out. I am most certainly not one of those people. In fact, it would be quite unpleasant (for me and people around me) if I decided to do this.
I exercise first thing in the morning, so I rarely eat before working out: first, because I don't have time, and second, because eating so early in the morning makes me nauseous.
But some fitness exerpts recommend eating before exercising because they say it can give you more energy and help you to last longer, especially during a hard workout...

I just ate the last Newman's O cream filled chocolate cookie. There was only one left -- if there were more, I'd still be chewing. And that's the problem...if there are sweets in the house, I will eat them. Remove the treats, remove the temptation.
But today is Halloween. Which means candy, candy, candy, candy everywhere.

I'm sure you've seen the "Smart Choices" nutrition label showing up in the grocery store aisles. It's the little green check mark label (click link to view) located at the bottom of several packaged and processed foods, which signifies to consumers that certain standards for calories per serving and fat content have been met.
The labeling program was intended to combat obesity by helping people make "smarter choices" about what they eat. But how are we supposed to make healthier choices when such items as sugar cereals (that are almost 50 percent sugar) and frozen ice pops have the Smart Choices label?
