Sure, there are those times when your partner initiates sex and you just don't feel like it. But many women complain about never wanting to have sex—despite being attracted to their partner. As it turns out, lack of sex drive in women may be more common than you think. Here are some common causes:

This week Maine rejected a law that would have legalized gay marriage. In response, JoyeAustin wrote a heart-felt open letter to the voters of Maine. Here's a brief excerpt:

No doubt you've heard the news this week that Maine voters repealed a state law Tuesday that would have legalized same-sex marriage.

I laughed when I read this article about a woman who answered a text in the middle of having sex. But apparently texting during sex is more common that I thought: In fact, some studies suggest that one-fifth of us interrupt sex to read an email, take a call, or tweet.

Really, people? (Barring an emergency) what could possibly be so important?

There's an alarmingly high statistic floating around CafeMom of late:

Forty-two percent of women claim they would lie about contraception in order to get pregnant, regardless of the wishes of their partners.

In other words, women so desperately want a baby that they tell their partners are on birth control when, really, they aren't.

Most CafeMoms say they are not part of this 42 percent. In fact, they think this statistic is way too high...take our anonymous poll, then tell us what you think about the topic...

Because we're in the business of recognizing Hallmark holidays (National Grouch Day?), I thought I'd point out that today, October 16, is National Boss Day. This is the day when employees are supposed to kiss-up thank their supervisors for being kind and fair throughout the year. But I'm wondering how many workers will actually honor their boss today given this recent alarming statistic:

More than half of all U.S. employees think their bosses are dishonest.
