Sure, there are those times when your partner initiates sex and you just don't feel like it. But many women complain about never wanting to have sex—despite being attracted to their partner. As it turns out, lack of sex drive in women may be more common than you think. Here are some common causes:

I've read plenty of fun facts about what Barbie's measurements would be if she were a real woman—but nothing quite as specific and thorough as this post on Never Say Diet:
For example, if Barbie were a real woman, her feet would be a child's size THREE!
Don't worry, there's much more where that came from...

Around the country, new nightclubs are opening that cater specifically to plus-sized people.
Now, I'm guessing that most of you "club" about as often as I do (um, not all that often). But the concept of a plus-sized-only venue is interesting, even if you aren't overweight...Imagine a public place where everyone is the exact same body size as you are—would you find other reasons to feel self-conscious?

As I'm sure all of us here on CafeMom know, women are way better than men.
Now don't get me wrong, I love men, whether it's my boyfriend, my brother, or my father but women really are the ones that make the world go round.
Though society has yet to realize this fact, I have collected some links that prove it. Some are for a laugh, some are actual facts, all entertaining:

The October issue of Harper's Bazaar
hits newsstands September 22
Like a lot of us, Janet Jackson's weight has yo-yoed more than she'd like. The only difference is, she's had not-so-flattering photos of herself splashed across the tabloids. In the October issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine (on which she gorgeously graces the cover), Janet talks about her struggle with her weight, which she attributes to being an emotional eater, and her upcoming diet and self-esteem book True You.

I recently got wowed by this lovely journal post by CafeMom PB_J, in which she shares her personal journey toward learning to appreciate the value of true beauty — inside and out.
She was happy to let me share it here with you.

Have you seen the photo that everyone is talking about? Glamour's nude, plus-size model (click link to see it) who's shown with a bit of a belly and slightly bigger thighs than we're used to seeing in magazine, all the while looking radiant, gorgeous, confident, and most important, happy.
Glamour is being applauded for actually showing a real woman... But I'm thinking, What the heck took them so long? And what does the term "real woman" even mean?

Cafe MicheleZ shared prenatal stretches to help improve posture last week. Even though I'm not pregnant, I'm going to try these.
I'm in a constant battle with my shoulder and lat muscles over the "computer hunch," the tendency for my shoulder blades to round forward.
If you're not sure whether you have good posture or not, sit and ask a friend to lay a wooden ruler against your upper back. It should lay fairly flat against both blades; any space means the shoulders may be rounding too far forward.
Strengthening your core is a necessary and sure way to better your posture, but specifically targeted exercises are important, too.
Poor posture not only makes you look slumpy and older, but it can put strain on your back and cause problems down the road. Eventually your spine may loose its natural curves and it will be hard to get those once graceful and youthful lines back.

I don't feel that great about my body, but I don't really care if the lights are on or off when I have sex, and I've done it both ways. I guess I just kind of hope that my partner keeps his eyes closed the whole time.
