Shop green whenever you shop! It's good for the planet.
Of course, the greenest option is always "don't buy!" However, if you're in need of a nice gift or have a case of "the wants," then, whenever possible, make sure buy items that are: all-natural, eco, eco-friendly, fair trade, found, green, handcrafted, handmade, homegrown, local, non-toxic, organic, pre-owned, recycled, reclaimed, repurposed, reused, sustainable, thrifted, upcycled, and/or vintage.
8 green, pretty, and affordable home & garden items I found recently and love:

1) Tillandsia Air Plant Garden, $20 for a trio at doe, 2) "Sustain" Poster Print by Nikki McClure, $9 at Buy Olympia, 3) Matchstick Garden: Herbs, $2.95 at Olive Barn, 4) Recycled Green Glass Milk Bottle and Set of 4 Cow Glasses, $19.98 at Walmart, 5) Recycled Paper Bottle Vases, $12.99 at Target, 6) Handcrafted Black Is Blue Cup by Anne Black, $24 at Greener Grass Design, 7) Handmade Unglazed Porcelain Mini Pitcher, $7 at Pigeon Toe Ceramics, 8) Organically Grown Bamboo Curvy Servers, $14 at Branch.
Buying green can be both affordable and attractive, see?
