Photo from this is not my work
I spy a table setting idea that makes me smile. Yep, I'm feeling pretty happy about setting the table with mismatched china at my next dinner party. So pretty!
To me, this mix-and-match look not only holds visual interest, but it also can, if you have a good family mix, hold timeless history.
Of course, I don't have a good collection of assorted family china myself, but I might start hitting the thrift stores and build a little collection of my own favorites soon. I think I've just been waiting for an excuse to collect vintage china anyway.

Do you own a mishmash of china or plates? Do you ever set the table with mixed and matched patterns?
