Bon Appétit's Conscious Cook blog recently listed their Top 4 Indoor Recycling Bins, including this cute Knodd Bin with lid from IKEA ($24.99).
It got me thinking about our paper grocery bag method of keeping our recycling contained. We stuff the bag with paper, cans, bottles, plastic, and other recyclables until it's full and then take it out to our large recycling can (all types go in one), which gets picked up each week.
Not very glamorous or adorable, is it?
So do you have a cute little can or cans for separating your recycling indoors? How do you keep your recycling contained?

Our previous home owners put a small metal bag holder on the inside of the cupboard under the sink, so I put a plastic grocery bag in it and fill it with the recycling. All of ours goes in one bin, so I don't have to sort. it's not the best, but our kitchen isn't big and it works.
Well I use to have to sort mine but now that we don't have to sort it out I just use one garbage can and once it is full I take it out to the giant bin that we put out on garbage day. Soda bottles we separate once outside and put those in a separatebin to take in for my son likes to get the cash for it. I use to have colored coded cans in different colors for each recyclable but now I don't need to, to do that!
We have a bin outside that is picked up once a week. I put it in a bag until I take it out everyday. Irritating. I like the little bag holder under the sink.

LOL yeah ours is one of those giant rubbermaid totes because it fits perfectly below the shelves in our pantry... not very cute! Luckily, in our city we get a rolling garbage can just like our regular one that everything just mixes in.. so we dont have to worry about separate containers.
