Make mine a virgin. Who wants one?
I'm not one of those happy, smiley, everything is the best in the world kind of pregnant ladies. Not that there is anything wrong with being one -- it's just not me. Not yet.
Maybe in a week or two when I am into my second trimester, but I've been a pukey, pimply, cranky mess. Ah yes, a pukey, pimply, cranky, scared mama-to-be mess who is really happy to be pregnant. As you know, if you read this blog.
The other night, at about 3:34am, after getting up to pee and not being able to fall back asleep, I tossed and turned thinking about the things I miss most during pregnancy.
I know...I should shut off the brain and try to sleep. But it thinks without me! I try -- I even count sheep!
So here's my top 10 most missed things....
Don't worry. I'm not all gloom and doom. I have a list of things I love the most about pregnancy coming tomorrow.
What are the things you miss most during pregnancy?
It gets better! I swear! I wrote an entire blog about how miserable I was at about 15 weeks, and I referred to my baby often as "the leech" who sucked all of the nutrients, and energy out of me. Well I'm 26 weeks now and I am LOVING it! You get to eat again (no, not just chicken noodle soup and crackers!) and everything tastes SOOOOOO GOOD. I've been putting on weight like crazy and I didn't gain an ounce until I was 22 weeks. I remember crawling out of bed at noon, stumbling to the couch in the living room, and laying there until bed time. I went 3 weeks without making a home cooked meal. And hell, I even skipped showers because they took too much energy (which I admit, I still do now). But everything is a million times better now. You don't have long my friend until you can enjoy everything again!!!
I am 31-34 weeks pregnant. (Love doctors) I miss my feet, sex, not being hungry constantly, caramel iced lattes from DD, the occasional pina colada with my bff, carrying my daughter around, doing the laundry myself, and a lot of my independence!
I am 32 weeks and I miss Iced Cappuccinos, Mojitos, being able to shave down there, sex, being able to roll over, sleep, being able to keep up with my 3 year old.
I miss having balance to shave my legs, wearing any other shoes besides sandals and sleeping on my stomach. But I totally agree with margaritas, what's summer without one.

I miss shaving my legs, I just don't have the stamina.
Painting my toenails in the summer, can't reach very well even without the watermelon sized belly in the way...
I miss being sane. I am a hormonal wackadoo. If I am not crying I am screaming.
I miss sleeping. No return of that in sight.
I miss fitting into my maternity clothes, but 6 more weeks to go, then they will fit again, at least for a few months.
