We didn't. Our baby names were top secret until the kids arrived. What about you? Are you telling?

Beautiful, I love it! And excellent point about telling kind of making it off limits to people you know.... ![]()
We are not telling any of our friends or family. We figured we let everyone know what the sex was so we would keep them in suspense on the name, & believe me it is! Its driving everyone crazy that we won't tell. Now I have mentioned her name on my profile but I don't know anyone on here & theres no one on here from where I live so I feel pretty safe having it on here.
With our son (born 8/5/07) we kept both the gender and the names we'd picked a surprise. This time around we're still keeping the gender a surprise and if we ever come up with names we'll keep those a secret too. I like the idea of keeping the names to ourselves because too many people seem eager to share opinions you don't always want or appreciate while you're pregnant. Once the baby's been named I think most everyone has the decency not to tell you you've gone wrong.
We named our son Casey William.
I don't know how to answer this, my daughter is two now. However, I wanted to keep it a secret but my husband told my sister and she told EVERYONE. So...
I never had any ultrasounds with my pregnancies so I never knew which gender's list I would be choosing from.
But we made a list each time and kept it secret. We didn't want to get the "hmmm-- interesting..." responses, or anything. (We wanted ZERO influence in our choices.)

We both can't hold secrets for too long, so we told as soon as we chose a name. The only thing I was afraid of was having someone steal the name, but telling kind of makes the name off limits to people we know. We're naming our daughter Jada Allison
