bam61907 asked this question -- "When does morning sickness usually start?" -- over in Pregnancy. Which of course made me remember my experience....
At the very beginning I felt fine, except for the crushing exhaustion. Then at about week six or seven I started to get the queasies -- it lasted for several weeks and then really disappeared. I hope the same happens to bam61907 and the rest of you new mamas-to-be!
But the question drives home the point that every woman and each pregnancy is different. Here's what other moms had to say about morning sickness.
When morning sickness does strike, what else to try? I recently did a round-up of what moms said worked for them.
When did your morning sickness kick in? Or are you one of the lucky gals who has avoided it so far? If the queasies did hit, what worked best for you?

With my DD, I started morning sickness the day after I took the test. So I prolly 6-7 weeks and I had it bad. It went away and came back around 6-7 months and then never came back. With my son, I never got morning sickness...which I am grateful for.
I had morning sickness just in the first trimester, mostly in the morning if I hadn't eaten enough. I combated by keeping plain snacks (crackers, almonds, bananas, dried apricots) on hand all the time.
I got morning sickness from about 3 weeks and i'm now 33 weeks and I STILL have it. The only things i can drink are water and sprite. Fruit is the only thing that doesn't turn my stomach. i have the nausea all day long. i feel like throwing up before I eat, while I'm eating, and after i eat. My Doc isn't concerned. he said even though I lost 35 pounds in the beginning, I've gained it all back now. (I think it's mostly baby) it'd be nice if i could go back to that weight after I have my baby.

I got morning sickness the same day my period was due. Once I knew I was preggo, I kept my stomache full and learned what baby doesn't like and stayed away. It went away on its own and I couldn't tell you when it was. However, I am in my last trimester and it's back. Water, water, water, water seems to help and I am back to staying away from my trigger foods. Sadly, chocolate is one of them.
