We love our toddlers more than anything ... but is this how we show it? By giving them a nickname that will surely make them hate us by the time they hit grade school?
From a discussion going on in the CafeMom Newcomer's Club ... which one gets your vote for the goopiest, afraid-to-say-it-in-public, best nickname ever!?

A mom on the thread named Christine said today's parents are a lot kinder in assigning nicknames to our children than our folks were to us. Hers was Chrissy Pissy Pants. I'll fess up -- I was a scrawny thing growing up so my dad's name for me was Boney Mahoney.
Can you top any of these -- either for you or your own kids?

I played baseball with a kid who's mom screamed his nickname at the game.... I think he wanted to fall into a hole and never return, his nickname was Pooter...... Can you imagine the embarrassment of being 10 years old and hearing "Pooter! You better hit that ball!" I wanted to die of embarrassment for him!
We have a couple around here. My kids are Booger, Booger Butt, we have Booger Baby, Big Butt and LIttle Butt, Booger Head, Knuckle Head...really anything ending in HEAD.
The main ones are Booger, BoogerBaby and Big Butt and Little Butt.
LoL my son runs around calling everyone BANDAID or BEEF. LoL dont ask cause I dont know...
He is so funny. wether he is mad or not he will run up to you and call you bandaid
I haven't found anything that has stuck with my son yet. The current nickname we're trying out is LoveBug..but last night he said I could call him "LoveBoy" because he's not a bug. When he was born, it was Froggy (but only lasted until he was old enough to tell me that he's not a frog).
In 4th grade, we were doing a project with glitter. Anyway the teach I had would give us each a cup to place the glitter that doesn't stick to the glue. She'd take the cups up and we'd all dump it into a big bucket to be used for a later project or if someone wanted mixed glitter. She asked me to go get the bucket from the cabinet. Well it was a bit out of reach but I tried anway and dumped the whole thing on my head, I was COVERED in glitter. I left a trail of it everywhere that day...it took weeks to get rid of it all LOL. From that day on I was called "sparkles." Some of my friends sitll rememeber that *shudder*
We call my daughter monkey or duck. Weird I know. My husband's paternal grandfather calls is wife fat and my husband little fat... Now that is weird... LOL
My nicknames when I was a baby where horrible-Toad Tummy, Milk Mouth, Knucklehead. My dad called my little sister Butch for a long time, cause she as a big fat bald baby and she always looked mad. Later we called my sisters Bear and Lion (Claire-Bear and Caro "lion").
My son's nicknames are Babyface, Captain Poopy Pants, Sweet pea, Lovey, and our neighbor's girl calls him Dreyahs cause his name is Andres but she can't say it yet.
My dad always called me Maggot, not really sure why, to be honest, but he still does to this day pull out the Maggot once in a while.
We're boring in the nickname area here, were just call Spencer Spenny or Spenner.
Check out some of today's most popular Journals:
My husband calls my daughter "Peanut" and my son "Porkchop." We also call my son Feffy....and probably always will. His name is Seth and when he was born my daughter would try to say Sethy and it would come out Feffy and it stuck. It's pretty much his name now.
