Warning Graphic Photo: Dog Meets Small Child

toddler draws on dog

Don't worry, I was expecting something totally different, too, when I opened up a post containing this picture in the Current Events & Hot Topics Group.

I braced myself for another gnarled leg or scratched up face, but instead found this charming photo of 5 year old Ryan (son of one of MattisMommy08's friends IRL) getting all Picasso on Rex the bull terrier.

"We did find out that dogs can handle washable markers and Kool Aid, but neither wash out!" MattisMommy08 says. "Washable markers are apparently only washable for clothes and furniture, not animals. Rex was a walking piece of art for a few days until it faded away. I love the big eye ball drawn over his eye! Who needs mascara when you have Crayola."

Where is the strangest place that your toddler has unleashed his artistic urge?

hahahaha.. my kids prefer to just draw on the walls, probably because our dog is black and it would never show up on her!

I am not surprised the dog laid there and took it, cus it feels so darn good, lol! I let my dd go to town drawing on me with pens. I'll look like I went to a tattoo artist with Parkinson's, but it's so worth it.

auror...

I wonder where this picture originated...I've gotten it in a lot of e-mail forwards.

At any rate, I love it.  Pictures like this will help to show the world the TRUTH about bully breeds.

My kids have drawn on our dog before and they like to dress her up when they do. I never would have thought she would be so patient but she just loves the kids!

My son has done this to our white and gray cat, who is incredible calm and loving and will just lie there and enjoy all the attention! I agree with aurorabunny, it's nice to see "bully breed" dogs represented in this way, as being the peaceful, gentle members of the family that MOST of them truly are.

the cat.  three times.  Abby has been on marker probation more times than anyone I know!  Gave the cat a haircut, too.  Hence, scissors probation.

LOL!  So cute!  So far they have not 'decorated' our pets, but just today my five year old decided to 'decorate' her little sister with markers.  Our other notable use of marker was when the same child decided to marker our family room carpet- when I was angry about this and said I had told her not to colour on the floors she retorted "No, you said not to write on the WALLS!"  She found a loophole, apparently!
