Lots of CafeMoms are talking about the strange items their kids brought home in their trick or treat bags on Halloween night?

Apparently, a lot of your neighbors are WEIRD, mamas, cause there were some WEIRD things in those bags! LOL.

Here's some of the strangest finds...

Hmmm, maybe your neighbors are more ill prepared than weird. Nah, they're just straight weird!

Here are some of the weirdest Treat or Treat bag goodies I read:

  • Easter candy
  • Valentine's Day candy
  • Snowman eraser
  • Religious pamphlet to the local church
  • Sales brochure
  • Pack of instant oatmeal
  • Push Up popsicle
  • Mini bottle of Purell hand sanitizer
  • Cough drops
  • Bag of tissues
  • Comb
  • Mini Bible
  • Coupon for Pampers
  • Coupon for a free goldfish
  • Can of chicken noodle soup
  • Can of Sprite
  • Pack of 3 x 5 index cards
  • TV Guide
  • Golf Weekly
  • Cookie cutter
  • Glass rooster
  • Sample of men's cologne
  • Lighter (!!!)
  • 9-volt battery with a note about setting the clocks back
  • Summer sausage
  • Top Ramen flavor packet
  • And THE WEIRDEST: A photo of the homeowners in their Halloween costumes

That last one's gonna keep me up at night... So weird!

Did your kids come home with anything weird in their trick or treat bags this Halloween?

We didn't get anything in our children's bags, but our "tween" neice and her best friend dressed in skimpy cave-girl outfits got pads of butter!

toria...

Nothing weird here, but I wonder if either kids ended up finding some of those things while out and about and putting them in with the candy, or some of the kids of the household helped out by putting a few things in the bowl of candy to pass out. And some of them, I'm sure are just weird!

ethan...

We got an avon sales rep card with free perfume sample and religous pamphlet that said 'compliments of' with a Babe Ruth stapled underneath.

I thought that neither of these materials was appropriate for a two year old....

RanaA...

I thought the same as toriandgrace... a small "helper" probably added some of those things (glass rooster?) to the bowl of candy.

my2.5...

My boys got little packets of peanut butter in their candy bags. I thought that was a little weird.

momro...

Well, nothing quite as shocking as what is on the list above but we did get individual sized (*expired) chocolate milk.... I just chalked it up to the fact that they probably ran out of candy and resorted to raiding the fridge.  Funny though! Loved the post btw!

this year someone gave my dd a unraped icky looking marshmellow (she dident even touch it before i threw it out). last year i think the at least strangest thing was a mini picture of jesus and a thing written on the back saying "jesus died for your sins, why do you intake on his enimies day? hell is not a fun place, and halloween is not a fun day"

............the small city we live in is packed with churches and some real nut jobs....
