My youngest LOVED her binky. Parting with it was traumatic, however, we took her to build a bear, let her kiss it goodbye & put it in her bear, which she named binky. Today, she plays with & loves that bear a little more than her others. I have told her the story of her binky being in that bear, etc. she loves it. She's now 5
My daughter wasn't too bad. We took it away when she was about a year old because we figured out she was throwing it on the floor purposely to get us to go into the room at night. At that point in time she would only use it for sleep anyways. So we took it away and she really wasn't too upset by it.
Our son is only 5 months old, but he is only using it basically for sleeping now so I'm hoping he'll be easy too. But if he has a hard time I think I might just have to use Momof3cuties idea! That is an awesome idea :)

With my older two, they were wearing out and one ripped so we clipped both, that was the end. My youngest gave it up on her own, she never really took to it completely.
