How can I lose my pregnancy weight?

it has been 8 months since my son was born and i am getting off breast feeding him. and would like to know what is the best routine for me.

  • Eat your veggies. If you aim to get in 5 servings of fruits and veggies you won't be hungry for junk. Lean protein mixed with whole grains. Try a breakfast of eggwhites, Feta, spinach and you can throw in some turkey for more protein. Protein takes longer to digest. Stay away from simple sugars and starches. Read labels. If whole wheat is not the first ingredient, don't buy it. Watch out for enriched whole wheat. Yeah they added vitamins but stripped fiber. Eat foods as close to there natural form as possible. I love Bikram yoga. I've mentioned it before on CM, it just completely changes your body. Don't focus on how your body looks, focus on what it can do. Good luck.

  • Weight Watchers rocks! I lost 30 pounds in 8 weeks eating a crapload of food. you get a certain amount of points to eat everyday and you get like 10 extra just for breastfeeding! check it out, i highly suggest it.

  • Eat as much fruit as you desire before each meal...add a large green salad or smoothie to each day.

    Get plenty of fresh air, sunlight and exercise.

    Dont be hard on yourself if you eat junk - just learn from it and move on.

  • I would suggest checking out weight watchers. I have been able to lose 50lbs since April. I do not deny myself certain foods if I really want them. We eat out, have fast food, pizza, ice cream you name it I have been able to eat it. They are having free regristration right now.

  • Weight Watchers is great. They really promote healthy eating with lots of fruits and veggies. They are also very considerate including points for pregnant and breastfeeding moms so that they aren't depriving their bodies. It is very realistic, no crazy tricks that you will get sick of in 2 weeks!!! It really is a program that you can incorporate into everyday life, and while you are eating well your kids will see it and follow!
