  • Why don't you try a bunch of different hair accessories, clips, barrettes, and/or headbands, to make your hairstyle "cute" yet functional?! Consider adding a few highlights with a home highlighting kit to "brighten up" and frame your face.

You could also do what a friend of mine did...she had her eyelashes professionally curled and tinted (she is a natural blond and her eyelashes were almost unnoticeable making her eyes appear very small), so it looked as if she was wearing mascara--an instant boost for tired/small eyes! I think it cost about $15 and lasted about a month.

Also the new Mineral Powders (Maybelline makes a line), are great, just dust on using a powder brush, and get all day coverage of blotchiness/uneven skin tone without the effort! Or try a light colored self tanner--to give your cheeks a little color that lasts a couple of days!

  • they have straightners made for wet hair [I HAVE ONE AND LOVE IT]... u could wash it, spray heat defense in it and run a straightner thru it... it would dry it and straighten it. or since ur hair is wavy, get a scrunch spray or moose and put it through ur hair while wet and run a defuser thru it.... they have blow dryers that come with the defuse head piece.... its simple and easy and leaves a nice curl to ur hair.

  • A flat iron can do wonders and it doesn't take that much time,,,I use one everyday. You'll love it.
Give it a try and see if you like it.

  • I have wavy/curly hair. I wash it and put some curl product in it, scrunch it and go. You could use a diffuser to dry it if you need to.

You could do a loose twist with a clip on the second day.

  • Get you some of those small cloth Headbands & only push back your bangs & then fluff the back up a little. You can also buy cute hats! There are times that I don't like fixing my hair & I will need to go out for an occasion so I will throw on a favorite hat!

  • What great ideas so far! I was gonna say to either put product in it to dry it curly with a diffuser (if you've never tried a diffuser, try it, it makes such a big difference for curly hair) or dry it straight with a blow dryer and then use a straightening iron. I have a great one that has a little curl to it so that you can curl the ends of your hair while you straighten it.

  • You could put some styling cream in damp hair and put it up in big velcro rollers until it's dry. 10 minutes before your DH gets home take them out and run your fingers through it. I have thick wavy hair too and loved this when it was longer. Its so much easier to look polished when I keep it shorter.

  • Invest in some cheap fun trendy hats, then you can braid it in two, or pull it back messy like under a cute hat. Or have fun trying new updo's. A pencil in hair wrapped up is sexy when you get in bed wipe it out and the rolls are pretty, no rubber band loops in it.
Pull hair back like for a pony, but low, do not put a pony holderin . Then grab pencil/pen/hair stick, and line it to the left side of hair pony, with right hand holding bottom of pencil, wrap it around hair, until you come full circle, when you are, bring it up to top and push pencil thru the hair roll. Pencils works better or plain ink pens. But it is up and kinda sexy messy, plus later on that evening or day if ou gotta go out, when you pull out pencil, you have a pretty twist in hair, so you can wear it down. Very popular for bartenders, servers, and teachers who have other things to do after work, besides a blow out!!!

  • Ps if you do it when your hair is damp, the dry effect is pretty with no big bump from the hair bands pony tails leave you. Also invest in some hot rollars. Put in about 35 mintues before hubby is home and take out after 15/ 20 mins and shake hair. The big ones and med ones work best.
Ps Only need to wrap hair half way up, not all the way to root, just about to ears!
