Where can I vacation with a baby?

I'd like to take a trip this summer with my husband and one year old (will be 18 months in the summer). Where can we go? Any suggestions on something that will be fun for all of us? No Disney. I want to wait till he is older.

  • Look up Siesta Keys in florida you will find places that offer stay on the beach and I mean walk out your door to the sand. I've never been but do plan on it! Good luck

  • Where do you live at? If you are anywhere near Tennessee, go to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. We went when my son was about the same age and he loved it.

  • Go on a cruise! Man if we could afford one we would definitely go. There is stuff to do for the whole family including childcare for when/if you want it to be just the two of you.

  • You might want to research a cruise a little more. Most cruises don't take kids until they are 3 and potty trained. If they have infant care it is by the hour and limited to a max no of hours. On some cruises just 10 hours on a week cruise!

I would do a beach holiday where you can rent an apartment or home.

  • Hey there
We have two favorite summer vacations that we do with our little guy. We rent a cottage on Atlantic Avenue in Wells Maine. It is right on the beach so it is easy with a little one. It is very quiet and private. You can walk to the beach so for napping it works out great. They have kitchens so you can prepare your own foods too. We have taken Dominic there every year since he was two months old. There is no better vacation if you like the beach.

  • Another option is North Conway NH. There is a place called Storyland there. It is an fairytale themed amusement park for younger children. We took Dominic there last year. He was just two years old and there was plenty for him to do. I have had friends who have taken even younger children and there is still plenty to do. There are condos for rent with equipped kitchens in the area that are very reasonable. Let me know if you have any questions about either place. I have websites I can share for places to stay.
