How do you make tortilla soup?

  • simple
    1 box chicken broth
    1 can chicken meat drained
    1 small onion diced
    1 can corn drained and rinsed
    1 can black beans drained and rinsed
    1 can diced tomatos
    1 can chopped green chilies
    1 tablespoon cumin or a bit more
    salt and pepper
    a little cilantro
    mix it all together, heat it up, top with tortilla strips or chips

  • mine is alot like msmessx2. we call it 10 can soup. its just 10 cans of different stuff (you can do 5 cans is you dont need very much)

    2 cans family size chicken and rice soup
    2 cans chicken
    2 cans corn
    2 corns rotel (diced tomato w/green chilies)
    2 cans black beans-rinsed and drained

    keep the liquid in from all of the cans except the black beans. flake the chicken with a fork. dump all ingredients (including liquid) in a stockpot or crockpot. add cumin and garlic powder to taste. stir together, cook on med. heat until hot.
    in a bowl, crunch a handful of tortilla chips. add a ladel of soup on top. add shredded cheese, hot sauce, a dollop of sour cream and diced avacado if wanted. so good!
