  • i use the energy saving lightbulbs, use my own grocery bags (cloth ones), turn lights off when not in use, just started getting into the habit of unplugging appliances while theyre not in use, i take my popcans and water bottles back for refunds, i recycle EVERYTHING (my city is awesome with that) i hang my clothes on the line whenever the weather allows me too. i also cut up old tshirts and what not and use them for cleaning cloths, for my daughters snacks at school, i fill up a plastic juice cup (instead of using juice boxes) and use plastic containers instead of ziplock baggies, i donate all the clothes that dont fit anymore, i walk to wherever i need to if i can, i compost..hmmm theres probably more, but thats all i got for now

  • Energy efficient light bulbs and we use our own grocery bags (reusable fabric kind). We also set out a container filled with recyclables each week. We used to set out 2 bins full but everytime we get a new bin from the city, it gets stolen.

  • I don't call it "going green." We call it being "resourceful". And being resourceful is my hobby. I love to pour all our glasses of water that we didn't drink, into the plants. Also, while waiting for the faucet to run warm water, I catch the water in my watering can and give the "wasted" water to my many many plants. I cut up paper that we print out from our printer that we no longer need, into 4 pieces and stack to use for notepaper, using the blank backside.

  • I eat Green Giant veggies. If I eat lima beans, I get green in the face. Did I spell lima beans right? My FF spell check is going crazy on that word!! :-) We haven't done much; switched out lightbulbs to those funky shaped ones, use our own bags when we shop, replaced our (s)hot water heater (get it? shot, hot? hahaha yeah I know that sucked) with a more efficient one...I want to do a small compost for our garden but not sure yet...can't think of anymore right now...

  • We recycle, use energy efficient bulbs, I try not to buy a lot of paper towels like I used to...I rip up old tees and shirts and keep them for cleaning. Gotta start using to reusable bags as PP mentioned.

  • thought of a few more...In the summer I line dry my clothes, also bought reusable washcloths that have scrubbies on one side (I love them lol, dishwasher AND washer safe!), recycle a little bit (not much because city is still trying to set it up, and I never know when the bin's going to be in town!)

  • we just reuse the plastic ones we have. and were getting the bulbs the next time ours blow out (wich is often cause our fuse causes them to go out a LOT) And belive it or not, I dont throw away papers unless i can get to a place to recycle them. then i put them there. and we take our pop cans (pop as in soda pop. I'm from Michigan so thats where i got it from) and turn them in for 10 sents each.

  • energy efficent lightbulbs, recycling of everything but cardboard (im glad my city is in on recycling), my DH started a veggie garden in our backyard, we make our own fertilizer (compost not poo haha), i wash all our clothes (except undies) in cold water, i pay bills online instead of driving around town or using envelopes, & i plan out all my errands so i dont back track, turning off lights (im always getting onto my DH about this), bundling up & keeping our heat off (when possible), we bought a pur filter for our faucet so no more plastic bottles.

wow...thats a lot more than i thought. i feel good about myself for the moment haha

  • I am doing my part to destroy it more quickly. I walk around with aresol cans spraying them all day. My son gets punished if he turns off a light. I make sure to put as many cans and plastic in the landfills as possible. I will go out of my way so I can us as much gas as possible. Each day I make sure my son creates as much filler for the land fill as possible.

OK I am joking. I really don't do much to go green. I don't go out of my way to destroy it but I am not going to live like Ed Beagly Jr.
