  • YES!!!! Go to dpreview. You can find a forum for just about any camera brand. There is also a beginner's forum where you can ask general questions. People tend to go there and ask about lenses for a particular brand of camera but anything that is brand specific you should really ask about on the brand specific forum. But I asked aobut tripods recently on the beginner's forum. Questions like that you will get help on. Be patient. Depending on the time of day there may or may not be alot of people on the forum to help. But they will get to your question even if it takes a couple of hours. I have learned this myself. Must work on patience.

Also, if you ever wanted to know abput a specific camera or lens, you can check the reviews on dpreview. They are very informative and helpful.

  • Depends on what you're looking for in a Forum. If you're wanting the reviews and tech stuff then dpreview is a great place.

If you're looking for C&C type of sites and forums then check out some below...
Flickr.com - overall just a great site with lots of fun stuff.
photosig.com - serious C&C, have thick skin and take the C&C for what it's worth without getting offended.
deviantArt.com - lots of art forms represented, groups within for C&C, contests, tutorials and resources.

There's more but these are the ones that come to mind off the bat. It all depends on what you want out of a forum.

  • I would recommend Digital Photography School.

You will find tutorials, challenges, product reviews and a huge forum to connect with photographers of all skill levels from all over the world.  This website has a huge following and is well respected.
