  • Our trash collectors collect and deal with recycling every Friday- they'll take paper, certain plastics, cans, glass. We have cardboard boxes that we store paper in for the collection, and they want the cans, plastic, and glass recycling in blue bags. We also compost fruit and vegetable remnants. For water, I save the cold water that comes from the faucet while I am waiting for the hot water to start, and I use the saved water to water plants or in the laundry. For items I donate to a charity that comes around and collects small household items and clothing. For trash day we have very little that needs to be picked up.

  • We recycle everything from soda cans and canned food containers to bottles and aluminum foil. We have a service come to our house that picks it up.

  • Most places only except certain item of plastic they have number codes on the bottom but if you take it in they let you know what they take and what you can take somewhere else they have special places too. Most easiest to recycle is paper and metal Paper has to be pure paper (ink is ok) But no wax like come dixie cups and paper plates (i normally get plastic and recycle them) and cans they normally ask for you to rinse. Also you can recycle clothing by donating to other people that can use them or organizations some larger city's have colection bins for them Also check out freecycle to recycle other items to other people it's a online organization and you can GIVE anything from food (unopened) to furniture and clothing all these things are worth looking into to preeserve our earth

  • We have curb side recycling for the basics like paper and cans, bottles, and milk jugs. IA has a deposit on pop cans, so those go to a redemption center so I can get my deposit back. LOL

  • We have recycling for items like paper, aluminum cans, glass, and plastic every Friday here. The trash man picks them up. We also take our aluminum cans to a recycling center and get money back.

  • I recycle everything possible. Fortunately, we have curbside pick-up here now, but for YEARS, we had to haul it to the county recycle center every week or so. I am an OCD recycler...I also recycle for others, going so far as to follow them to trash cans and rescue what they just put in there, usually saying things about lousy people who can't recycle while at it.  And what I don't recycle the regular way, I use for crafting and the like, recycling it into a new life, or try and find it a new home or donate it.
