  • Most babies hate tummy time, just like most toddlers hate veggies.
Get on the floor with him, facing him. Dangle a toy between the two of you.
If you can't stay and play with him, put some toys in front of him - some he can reach, some he just barely can't.

  • The best tummy time is if you lay on the floor and have your little one lay on you. Also I have found that positioning their favorite toy in front of them just a tiny bit out of reach will get them crawling fast. They want their toy. Until they do crawl have him reach for his toy for about 30 seconds, then give it to him. Repeat this process. It will give him his tummy time and get him crawling quicker.

  • My son hated tummy time as well. He was a preemie and I didn't really start tummy time until he was about 4 or 5 months old. Then he learned how to roll over and now he's 8 months old and gets to his tummy himself and loves it. To help him learn to roll over we always put him on his back, put his favorite toy beside him, and rolled him onto his belly. Eventually he got it! HTH!!

  • My son loves tummy time. When I do yoga or any othe exercise he's right there with me on his tummy. He's 4 months old and when I'm on my back and my legs are bent I lay him on top of my shins and his feet kick against the top of my feet and and he likes the pace of how we move to straight to bent knee. You just have to work out slower and keep both hands on them at that point. Each time your faces reach each others kiss his nose or chin. You can do this with out exercising as well. Its one of our all time favorites.

  • My son is 3 months old too and hates tummy time as well. I don't really think tummy time should be pushed on an your baby until they are ready. I know when the time comes he will feel more comfortable. I do put my son on his tummy and lay beside him while shaking his favorite toy to get him to play for at least 10 minutes. That's probably the best you can get out of your little one until they feel more comfortable.

  • I started my daughter just a min or two, gradually adding more time. I pick her up or roll her to her back when she starts getting really upset. It didn't take too long to get her up to 15 or 20 minute stretches.
