I have a 4 1/2 year old daughter who was recently sick. diagnosed with a double ear infection. She had a fever for 3 days which I kept a very careful eye on. That's not our problem now. She's on antibiotics (Augmentin) for the infection and on the nebulizer as well because she's also begun to develop something which sounds like a regular cold. The problem started when she had the fever. she wasn't eating therefore she wasn't using the bathroom much either. She was drinking water much more than normal, but despite that she's now very, very constipated. Her Dr. said it's probably as a result of the fever/infection and gave us glycering suppositories. they help sometimes, but not all that much either. Until we can check in with a different Dr., does anyone have any home remidies that will help, other than prunes which she won't eat?
May end up back at the Dr. this week, or worse a hospital.
