How can I minimize hip soreness?

I'm pregnant with my second child. I am 17 weeks pregnant and I cannot hardly sleep at night. The pain starts in my hips and then moves to my legs. I'm sore all day the next day. I have tried to sleep with a pillow between my legs but it still doesn't help. I would really like a good nights sleep. Please Help!

  • If its ok with with your doctor sign up for prenatal yoga. That really helped me with the aches and pains of labor. Also try rotating hot and cold compresses. I believe Tylenol is safe during pregnancy, its a pain reduces. Finally I always found warm showers blissful and relaxing.

  • Maybe one of those pregnancy back braces? They are just like a back brace only in the front they have a special holder type thing for your belly. This lifts the weight of the baby off of you a little bit. I don't remember exactly what they are called but I do know you can find them almost any where.. if you can't find it ask your doc.. they'll know exactly where to get one! Good luck!
