What are some ideas for a new sewing project?

I love to sew and have currently run out of projects to do! I'm drawing a blank in the creativity area due to sleep deprivation. lol. What have you made recently that I should try??

ps- I've made cloth diapers, covers, soakers, ect, baby pjs, blankets, pillows, dresses, hair bows, coasters, hot pads, tree skirts, and toddler underwear. I'd like to branch out to maybe something for our home??

  • I've always wanted to make a matching bedroom set - Sheets, pillow cases, duvet cover, bed skirt, pillows, curtains, ...the whole works. That would take an awful lot of material though.

My MIL makes quilted purses. There are really big right now, so you could sell them too, and make some extra money. MIL sells them at church sales - they sell like crazy.

  • I just made an apron. It's waterproof, so I won't get my front wet while doing dishes, nor will I get grease stains on my shirt while frying chicken.

  • I just made pajama pants for my son, and have the pattern for a jacket for my daughter's favorite doll cut out and ready to sew. I've also got the material to make light blocker curtains for the master bedroom, and have the material (but no pattern as of yet) to make a toilet seat lid cover along with a tank cover to match the shower curtain I made last year for the kids bathroom.

  • You could make curtins and other window treatments, matching pillows, an ottoman, fabric covered message board. Purses, wallets, photo bags, grocery bags, craft bags.... You could also make orginizers like shoe and hat boxes. Oh Valentines is comming up you could make matching Valnetine outfits and bags and dont forget the hair bows! You could also make valentine carriers or mail bags.
